About us

Anjana Data is a Spanish product-oriented software development company based in Bilbao and Madrid.

Our history dates back to 2018 as a spin-off of a consulting firm specialising in Data & Analytics. But it was in 2019 when we decided to go one step further and launch our own innovative Data Governance & AI platform. It is then that Anjana Data SL was born as an independent company financed with private capital to design, develop, evolve and commercialize Anjana Data Platform.

Anjana Data is not just a Data Governance & AI tool, it is the materialisation of a philosophy forged for years implementing Data & Analytics initiatives in complex environments. In this context, our mission is to assist organisations with their Data & AI Strategies by incorporating specific technology to implement and operationalise their Data Governance & IA models.

We are a team of data experts with both business and IT profiles who share a common vision: governance should be practical, collaborative and value-driven, enabling organisations to treating data as a strategic asset.

The name “Anjana” comes from the Cantabrian mythology: protective fairies that guide and care for. That is our vocation: to accompany those who manage and consume data so that they can move forward with security, efficiency and a sense of purpose.

Why Anjana was created

We were created to solve three structural problems that we saw recurring in organisations:

Slow and reactive government

Programmes began “after construction”, generating impacts on production, costs and friction between business and IT. We proposed a shift-left: governance from design, preventive and business-oriented.

Technological dependency and silos

The technical catalogues provided visibility, but did not resolve the organisational governance nor multi-platform interoperability. We build an agnostic layer that does not lock anyone in and orchestrates the ecosystem with Open APIs.

Bureaucracy vs. courage

The government was perceived as an obstacle. Our response was a platform that automate, collaborate and democratise access, with use cases that demonstrate ROI from the outset.

The result is a platform that “goes far beyond” from the catalogue for empower all stakeholders and turn the government into leverage: “Data and AI governance for everyone — as it should be”.
